Graded work is now coming home with your children. Please see the rubric below as a guide when reviewing work with your child at home. Also, please know if your child receives a “1” or a “check minus” I will review the concept covered to make sure your child has understanding of the standard. However, it doesn’t hurt to reinforce missed concepts at home as well!

1-The student has limited progress toward meeting the standard.
A check, check plus, or check minus may also be found on daily work but not work counted as an assessment. Check plus means the task was mastered, a plain check means the task was completed but not mastered, and check minus the task was not mastered and needs improvement.
This Week’s Learning Standards:
Math-Place value within 1,000, skip counting
(by 2’s, 5’s, 10’s, etc.), and expanded form.
Reading/LA-Schema, consonant digraphs, verbs and adjectives
Writing- Descriptive poems.
Social Studies/Science- Georgia’s 5 regions
STEM- Marshmallow construction challenge
Next Week’s Learning Standards:
Math-Represent 3 digit numbers in multiple ways.
Reading/LA-Launching reader’s workshop. Complete sentences, nouns, verbs and adjectives
Writing- Personal Narrative pieces
Social Studies/Science- Georgia’s 5 regions and Creek & Cherokee Indians
STEM- Cinquain Poem Challenge
Read every night for 15 minutes and fill out your 200 Book Club log!!!
