Next Monday, April 30th is our Chattahoochee Nature Center field trip! Students should wear their maroon Kind is the New Cool t-shirt (or another Tritt shirt), sneakers, and pants/shorts. Also, sunscreen and bug spray should be applied before arriving to school (please do not send this in with your child). Next Wednesday, May 2nd is our STEAM Showcase beginning at 8:15 am. If you are able to stop by we’d love to share our latest challenge with you! If not, do not worry…I will be sending home QR codes so that you can view our STEAM products! Next week we have ILC with Mrs. Bates on Wednesday and Guidance with Mrs. Grindstaff on Thursday. Friday, April 20th is Tritt’s first Food Truck Friday hosted by our PTA! Come join the fun from 6pm-8pm! The deadline for 200 Book Club is Friday, April 27th. This is not a requirement however, it’s an easy way for your child to be rewarded for their reading efforts! It’s hard to believe but Quarter 3 report cards were sent home this week! Please sign and return the envelope and keep your child’s report card for your records. Also, a reminder if you have not already, please sign and return the field trip permission slips for the Chattahoochee Nature Center by the end of next week. This is a wonderful field trip that goes along with our 4th quarter unit on plant and animal life cycles! We are covered for a chaperone…thanks so much to everyone who volunteered! Next week is Exceptional Children’s Week. We will be visited by guest speaker Andy Lipman who will teach us about Cystic Fibrosis and accepting other’s differences. If you have not already please turn in your child’s enrollment information for next year along with the large envelope and 4 stamps. The envelopes will be used to mail your child’s end of the year report card and as well as other important information regarding the 2018-2019 school year. This week was a fun one! We met with our 5th grade technology buddies and continued our Fairy Tale STEM Challenge. Also, Mrs. Porter, who was previously a dental hygienist came to visit and do some dental health experiments with us. Next week in math we will continue to work with money and counting collections of bills and coins. If you have loose change at home have your child practice counting this weekend! Next Wednesday, February 14 is our field trip to the Fire Safety Village! Please have your child wear their Kind is the New Cool shirt this day. If your child is bringing a lunch from home please use a disposable bag labeled with your child’s name. The school’s cafeteria will provide sack lunches for those purchasing a school lunch. (Thank you for placing your child’s order on the back of the permission slip). Valentine’s Day bags and cards should be brought in Tuesday, February 13th.
